Stan Krpan is CEO of Sustainability Victoria (SV), the Victorian Government’s agency delivering environmental sustainability programs – in the areas of climate change, energy efficiency, waste and recycling. He was appointed CEO in 2012 following a review of the organisation’s strategic direction. Stan has led and delivered significant Government reforms across a diversity of sectors including health, safety and environment, regulation and the law. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Prior to his appointment in January 2012, Stan was General Manager Governance at SV. In 2010, Stan undertook an independent review of the Environment Protection Authority Victoria and its approach to compliance and enforcement. He has also held senior executive roles at WorkSafe Victoria, including Health and Safety Regulator and Head of WorkSafe’s enforcement division.
A lawyer by training, Stan has a Masters in Law and has undertaken post-graduate research in regulation. He has undertaken executive education at the Harvard Business School, London School of Economics in Climate Change and is a Fellow of the Cambridge Business Sustainability Leadership Program.
He is Chair of Infoxchange Australia and a Board member of Western BACE – a business accelerator in Melbourne’s West. He is also a member of the Advisory Board for Behaviour Works Australia (part of the Monash Sustainable Development Institute).
